Fitting and positioning mouse skates
Watch three skate layouts: four in the center, one at each corner, then corners plus two side skates. Compare glide and stability to find what suits your mouse.
What does the video show?
The video shows skates already fitted to the mouse base and compares three layouts in motion. It does not demonstrate removing old skates, cleaning adhesive, or the full fitting process.
Four skates in the center
The first layout groups four skates around the center. Watch the movement and compare it with the following layouts; this is a filmed example, not a fixed recommendation for every mouse base.
One skate at each corner
The second layout places one skate at each corner of the mouse base. Compare its stability and glide with the first layout.
Corners plus two side skates
The third layout adds one skate midway along the right side and one midway along the left side to the corner skates. The speed and performance scores in the video describe that filmed test; they are not specifications or guaranteed results for every mouse or surface.
After choosing a layout
Follow your model’s fitting instructions, leave the sensor opening clear, and check that the mouse sits level without rocking. If tracking stops after fitting skates on glass, see the LOD guide.
