How to Fix Mouse Tracking Issues or an Unresponsive Mouse
If tracking stops or becomes intermittent after fitting skates on a glass mouse pad, check the installation, then try adjusting lift-off distance (LOD) if your mouse supports it.
What is LOD?
LOD is the lift-off distance at which the sensor stops tracking the surface. Availability, naming and controls depend on the mouse model and its software.
Check the installation first
Check that the skates sit evenly, are not stacked over old skates, and do not cover the sensor opening. Clean the surface and check the mouse connection before changing settings.
Adjust LOD in your mouse software
The video demonstrates a Glorious Model O and its software. Open the official software for your model and look for LOD or Lift-off Distance under sensor or calibration settings. Note the current setting, try one higher level, and save it. Controls and values vary by model; this example is not a universal mouse setting.
Test the result
Test cursor movement on the glass mouse pad after each change, then lift and replace the mouse to check tracking stability. If it does not improve, restore the previous setting and consult the manufacturer or contact us with the mouse model. Adjusting LOD does not guarantee glass-surface compatibility.
